WRITERS WANTED:
Back in November, Steffans Publishing did something it had never done before and opened its doors to the public for an anthology project entitled, Drink Fuck Sleep.
We put out an APB for aspiring authors and editors and, now, just over 60 days later, Drink Fuck Sleep is a reality with thirteen anthologists and several editors.
The anthology is scheduled for a June publication date and will be available, worldwide, on Amazon.com (paperback), as well as Amazon Kindle, Barnes and Noble Nook, Apple iBooks, and Karrine.com’s Boutique, where the audio book will also be available for download. Buyer incentives and giveaways will also become effective when the book becomes available for pre-sales in April.
Other downloading outlets will be made available in the future as well as an iPhone app.
In the interim, Steffans Publishing is on the hunt for a new batch or writers and editors for our next anthology, which begins production March 1st. Here are the requirements:
WRITERS:
- Send a one-paragraph writing sample to writers@karrine.com. After review, you will receive an email from a Steffans Publishing Managing Editor with information on how to proceed. There are no other requirements to be considered.
EDITORS:
- Send your professional/educational resume and a short, edited writing sample to editors@karrine.com. Editors must have, either, a college degree to support the position or must be in, atleast, his/her second year of pursuit of such a degree. After review, you will receive an email from a Steffans Publshing Human Resources Coordinator. - Taylor Symone: “If you’re an aspiring author, having the ability to participate in this anthology by Steffans Publishing does more than give you an opportunity to be published. Steffans Publishing founder, Karrine Steffans gives the opportunity to be trained on how to be a professional writer by offering writing workshops, constructive criticism, and one-on-one editing sessions that you would never get from a traditional “big” publishing house. Couple that with the ability to learn from a 3 time New York Times bestselling author, who effortlessly gives her time and talent for the betterment of women, and you have a once in a lifetime experience.”
- Nikki Ransom: “As a writer, being a part of this anthology project has been a dream come true. I have loved and admired Karrine and her style of writing for years and to be able to meet with her every week and learn from her is PRICELESS. I’ve learned more about writing during this project than I’ve learned in 4 years of college and I feel my style of writing has improved, dramatically. This experience is definitely life-altering.”
- S Dot Kaine: “Being apart of this anthology by Steffans Publishing has been a truly wonderful experience. We have all had the opportunity to work with one of the best authors of our generation, Karrine Steffans. Not only has she given us a platform as aspiring authors, but she has taught us literary skills that most publishing houses would never offer. I am honored to be apart of such a talented group. I appreciate the time she has taken to help us make our dreams of being professional writers come true.”
