Spring is here and it’s time to ditch those dark colors and reach for your pastels and brightly colored clothes and accessories.

This Makeover Month, I’m starting with nail polishes.

Here are my two new OPI purchases: 

• Princesses Rule! (which I’m wearing)
• Rosy Future

And, as luck would have it, Princesses Rule! is the exact same color as a Fat Burger Strawberry shake.

Who doesn’t love fabulous nails?

So, my usual nail tech, Hannah at AQ Nail Spa in Studio City, was on vacation for three weeks.

Three weeks!

So, some dude did my nails and only felt comfortable putting damn acrylic on them.

Hated it.

Hate it for three weeks.

Then, Hannah called and said she was back in town. So, I ripped off those nasty acrylics, jumped in my car, and rushed down to the shop.

After, I emerged with my usual –– a colored French tip with a design on my ring finger –– this time, lady bug for good luck!

So, apparently, my husband has had an ingrown toenail for years and never told anyone.

Some men just need wives.

So, I took charge, found a doctor, made an appointment, held my breath in the elevator because I’m claustrophobic, and got him in that chair!

When the doctor took off half his toe nail, I almost lost it.

I took these photos with my eyes closed.

Please take care of your feet, people.

I haven’t had my nails done is about three weeks, so I decided to refresh them. I painted over the tips and added a couple more layers of top coat. I removed the old polish from my ring finger and replaced with a fresh new design…

Lady Bug!

Good luck, just in time for what has been dubbed “Breed Week” around here. Baby making is a tough job, but someone’s got to do it!

First of all, I drive with the most serious face.

Secondly, got my nails done today and switched from the usual Light My Sapphire to An Affair in Red Square –– both by OPI.

So…

I’m looking for nail polishes…right?

And, I come across a wall of OPI.

It’s like heaven.

So, I pick my two favorite colors, top coat, and base coat.

Everything is normal…right?

Then, I look to my right and see a little girl.

Still normal…right?

What is she - like - ten?

NO!

This chick is like 45 and she’s a midget!

A MIDGET!

That’s two midgets in ONE MONTH!

Yeah.

I got these.

Blaire teaches me things you don’t.

Just got back from the nail shop…

I really wanted to go to Marie Nails because they are so good at Japanese nail art, however, it’s impossible to get in at the last minute and I am not so good at booking nails appointments 14 weeks in advance.

So…

I went back to AQ Nail Spa to see my girl, Hannah.  Now, Hannah is great at sculpting the perfect nail but is not so good at design.

So, I had to teach her and draw my idea out on a sheet if paper. Seriously.

This color is, actually, a mixture of OPI’s Light My Sapphire and Sation’s Cotton Candy. We used a pink UV gel overlay and Hannah hand painted the perfect french tip with the OPI and covered the whole shebang with the Sation. 

All my idea ‘cause I’m amazing.

The inspiration for the jeweling was my diamond and sapphire ring, with it’s round, tear drop, and oval stones.

Then, some guy walked in and asked me to sign his motorcycle helmet. Sweet!

I’ve been super busy the past week or so and have barely had time for myself.  I, actually, began to fall off of my Make-Over Month regiment and plan until a got a boost of inspiration from a friend.

Today, the quest for for the perfect eyebrow.  I visited my girl, Hannah, at AQ Nails in Studio City, CA and in just a few minutes –– POW!  Eyebrows.

Also, you’ll notice my hair is in a towel.

*sigh*

I’m having to wash and condition this Bengali hair AGAIN. It’s just not working for me.  I’m not sure but maybe it’s acting up because I’ve been having these killer night sweats and often wake with my hair stuck to my face and back, coated in sweat.  So, I’m going to try to take better care of it and make sure to either wrap it or place it in a bun before sleeping.

Also, thanks to an enormous amount of stress and anxiety, I’ve lost about 15 pounds and have been ordered to a high calorie diet which includes 6 bottles of Ensure Plus, per day.

Ugh…

In the interim, I just scheduled a massage with our on-site health spa.

Aaaaahhhh….

I may have gotten off track, but I’m back!

You people must be as irritated with this hair as I am, at this point.  Well, good news!  I’m taking this sh*t out FOR GOOD!

So, I had the hair uninstalled this afternoon and have made an appointment to have my natural hair pressed tomorrow.  But, before I do that„ I’ll have to wash and deep condition my hair in the morning.

Naturally, that’ll be included in tomorrow’s post!

Now, back to what I did today…

On my super duper private Facebook page, I have declare July a new make-over month and I decided I would get a head start since I have been so sick of myself lately.

This is how I’m ending my day –– as a Power Puff Girl.

Earlier, I managed to have my nails, feet, and eyebrows cleaned up…

This nail polish is one of my faves by OPI called, Light My Sapphire and my eyebrows are f*cking perfect.

More of the hair drama tomorrow.  I have a feeling we’ll be going through this all friggin’ summer.
